our purpose

Our purpose is to make disciples together.

beliefs

GOD: We believe there is one true God-Who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal and one God.

GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY: We believe that God is on His throne and controls everything that comes to pass.

SALVATION: We believe a person is saved by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

AUTHORITY OF THE BIBLE: We believe the Bible is the Word of God and has the right to command our belief and action. We believe the Scriptures to be the inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative and sufficient Word of God.

PERSONAL GOD: We believe God is our heavenly Father and cares about every area of our lives.

IDENTITY IN CHRIST: We believe we are significant because we are children of God.

CHURCH: We believe the church is the Body of Christ and His primary means of accomplishing His purposes in the world today.

MAN: We believe that man is made in the image of God, yet scarred by sin and in need of a Savior. We believe God creates us male and female, equal in value and complimentary in roles.

FAMILY: We believe that the family is God’s institution and the basic building block of human society. We believe the Bible clearly teaches marriage is the permanent union of one man and one woman, a one-flesh union. We believe God has given sex as a wonderful gift to be enjoyed in marriage alone between a husband and wife. The purpose of sex in marriage is oneness, children, and pleasure.

ETERNITY: We believe Jesus is coming again to judge the world and establish the final state of things. We believe in the personal, visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the last judgment, and the everlasting punishment of the lost, and everlasting life for all who believe.

core values

JESUS IS OUR MODEL > Good News loves Jesus!

Jesus is our Savior and Lord!

Jesus is our Model for life and ministry!

We want to make disciples Jesus style!

the one who says he remains in Him ought, himself also, walk just as He walked.

—1 John 2:6

GOSPEL-CENTERED > Good News loves the gospel!

Everyone needs the gospel!

The lost need the gospel to be reached, while the found need the gospel to be transformed.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation

to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

—Romans 1:16

EVANGELISM > Good News loves the lost!

Disciple-making begins and ends with evangelism.

When we have the cure for death, we must share it.

The more we experience the gospel personally, the more compelled we are to share it.

We will do anything short of sin to reach the lost.

"I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner

who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”

—Luke 15:7

BIBLICAL COMMUNITY > Good News loves one another!

We believe the gospel enables us to do life together.

We need each other to grow, serve, share and reach out.

Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.

—Acts 2:46,47

JOY > Good News loves to make it enjoyable to learn about God!

It is a sin to bore people with the gospel.

We want to make it enjoyable to learn about God.

Life is hard so when we gather we will laugh hard, loud, and often because Jesus is the Joy-giver.

Nothing is more fun than learning about God and serving Him with people we love!

Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks;

for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

—1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

"I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner

who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”

—Luke 15:7

PRIORITY OF THE NEXT GENERATION > Good News loves children, youth, and college students!

The church is always one generation from extinction.

We place a top priority on reaching the next generation in all we do.

All that generation also were gathered to their fathers; and there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD,

nor yet the work which He had done for Israel.

—Judges 2:10
