KIDS MINISTRY philosophy

The Kids Ministry team seeks to serve the church by educating children, equipping parents, and engaging gospel-partners (volunteers) to glorify God.

Christ is the center of all that we do and teach. In our ministries, we use the large group/small group format from preschool age through elementary. This is so the children are not only learning from the best teachers and storytellers in a large group setting, but they also have small group leaders who love them and build relationships. We regularly incorporate worldwide outreach in all of our ministries to teach the children about the Great Commission.  We desire to involve them in Global Outreach and acts of mercy so that they experience serving their God and their community. We look forward to partnering with and serving your family, so that the Kingdom of God might be glorified.

KIDS WORSHIP (SUNDAY SCHOOL)

Kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade learn to worship God in fun and engaging ways.  Children build lasting relationships with each other, our team, and most of all—Jesus Christ—as they learn He loves them, He provides for them, and He wants to be their forever friend. It is our prayer that our children will grow developmentally and spiritually as they walk away with truths taught to them.

nursery (newborn to 4 years old)

Nursery is available at the services. Safety is our number one priority. To be eligible to serve on the Nursery team, one should be a member of Good News, have a background check, and complete our nursery guidelines training.

Loving team members will plant seeds of community as well as church by loving children through showing them Good News Church is a place where they will be loved, cared for, and safe.

Preschoolers will learn to explore the world God has created and their place in it. As they hear stories of the Bible being taught, it is our hope that children will begin to develop a biblical self-image.  This will come through being rooted in the understanding that they are made in God’s image and that their purpose is to bring Him glory.
